What is CDL ?
The term CDL is an acronym for ‘commercial driver’s license’ which can be acquired by meeting your states certification requirements.
The best way to get your CDL license is by attending a truck training CDL school such as Regal Driving Academy to prepare for a new career in the trucking industry. During training, students learn all the information necessary to prepare for and pass a CDL exam.
When training is complete, students can fully operate a tractor-trailer with ease.
What is the salary of a Commercial truck driver.
According to Indeed.com it was $66,682 per year (July 2021). Truck drivers are currently in high demand. Commercial driving definitely offers a good pay & career path. Pay would vary on various factors such as experience, Company , Safety record etc. Truckers keep the Shelves of America stocked. What are the Types of CDL?
A Class A CDL is required to operate a combination vehicle (truck and trailer) if the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) is 26,001 or more pounds when the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the trailer, which is added to the GVWR of the power unit (the truck), is 10,001 pounds or more.
A Class B CDL is required to operate any vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more. A trailer may be towed if the GVWR of the trailer is 10,000 pounds or fewer.
A Class C CDL is required to operate any vehicle with a GVWR of 26,000 pounds or fewer if the vehicle is required to be placarded to transport hazardous materials or if the vehicle transports 16 or more passengers, including the driver. An applicant must also have a passenger (P) or hazardous materials endorsement (HME) to obtain a Class C CDL.

How do I choose Class A or Class B ?
A class A license is considered the “universal” CDL, providing the opportunities for driving several different types of commercial trucks and tractor trailers. A class B license also allows operation of different types of vehicles such as straight trucks and dump trucks, but it is more limited than a class A CDL.

B. Complete CDL Training Program – Attending Regal Driving Academy is a great way to go about getting a Commercial Driver’s License. By training with Regal Driving Academy, you will learn the information needed to pass the written exams and get the hands-on training required to master the pre-trip inspection and the CDL skills test.
C. Pass the driving exam – The CDL Skills Test is a three part test that consists of Pre-trip Inspection, Basic Controls Skills Test, and an On-Road Driving Test.
D. Pick Up Your CDL at the DMV – After passing the Skills Test you can pick up Your CDL at a DMV in your state.
